Network investigation / Sonar by Overwatch

Network problems.
A clear next step.

Tell Sonar what’s going wrong. It brings the available network evidence into a guided conversation, so you can focus on what to try next.

What’s going wrong?

My control application can’t connect to a device.

Sample evidence only. This page does not scan your network or send information to an AI service.

How it works

Start with the problem.
Keep moving toward an answer.

One guided investigation, with the detail available when you need it.

  1. 01

    Say what’s wrong.

Describe the symptom in your own words. No IP address is needed to get started.

  2. 02

    Find the problem.

Sonar detects this computer’s network addresses and discovers reachable devices, then interprets the available diagnostics.

  3. 03

    Try the next step.

Get one useful action and a brief reason. If it doesn’t help, continue the same conversation.

Starting analysis in the app shares your problem description and selected diagnostics with OpenAI. Detailed review and settings remain available.

Built around your questions

Something isn’t working.
Start there.

You shouldn’t need to choose a protocol or read a packet table before asking for help.

The evidence stays with the answer

The next action first.
The detail behind it.

Network observations, packet evidence and supported application logs give the investigation its context. Sonar keeps the main response focused, while sources and technical details remain available on demand.

When the evidence is incomplete, the next step should help narrow the problem. A likely explanation stays a likely explanation until the evidence supports more.

Development status

A simpler workflow.
More validation ahead.

The guided development workflow has passed internal review. Pilot packaging, real-network validation and wider Mac testing are still in progress.

Sonar isn’t available as a public download yet.

Can I use Sonar today?

This is a website preview with worked examples. A public Sonar release has not been announced. The desktop app is still undergoing pilot and field validation.

Will it automatically fix my network?

Sonar’s current scope is investigation and recommended next actions. It does not automatically change your network or application configuration.

What can it actually see?

Visibility depends on the connection, permissions and evidence available. Some packet, switch and VLAN investigations need additional network access. Missing evidence remains a limit on the answer.

Does this example use my network?

No. The worked examples use artificial information stored in this page. They do not collect network traffic, read application logs or call an AI service. Changing examples and follow-ups stays in your browser.

Which Macs will the release support?

Minimum operating-system and hardware support will be confirmed for a release after runtime validation. Development builds or successful compilation do not establish support on every Mac.
